Stark County commissioners will continue to meet in public session three days a week in 2013.

Commissioners Thomas Bernabei, Janet Weir Creighton and Richard Regula agreed during an organizational meeting Monday to keep the same meeting schedule as 2012. The board will meet at 10 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and at 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the board’s conference room on the second floor of the Stark County Office Building at 110 Central Plaza S.

Commissioners intend to use the Monday and Tuesday meetings as work sessions to discuss upcoming agenda items or other county business, but could choose to take formal action on an issue if necessary. The Wednesday meetings are intended to be used for taking official action, such as awarding contracts. All three sessions are open to the public.

The board chose to retain Bernabei as its president and Creighton as its vice president.
