New Life’s worship and community ministries are conducted from one of the oldest church sites in Stark County, located near the union of Summit, Portage and Stark counties in Uniontown.

The first church building was erected in 1828 by German Lutherans. Cornerstones in the current building indicate “Rebuilt 1897” and “Rebuilt 1928.”  A fire gutted the church on August 15, 1983. It was rebuilt in its traditional design as a historical country church, and sold to St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

In 2007, an addition made the building handicapped accessible. In November 2010, the site was dedicated as a Revolutionary War Veterans Memorial for the four Revolutionary War veterans buried there. The 2012 renovation was managed by Larry Mackey, a senior warden from Jackson Township.

In November 2010, a memorial was dedicated to the four Revolutionary War Veterans buried on the site of New Life Episcopal Church.  See a story in the Repository: http://www.cantonrep.com/news/x684365433/Revolutionary-War-soldiers-buried-under-church-parking-lot
