Entries are being accepted for The Repository’s 10th annual Battle of the Bands, happening March 9 at the Palace Theatre.
To compete, each band must complete the online entry form at www.canton rep.com/battle and upload two recorded songs, at least one of them a band original. There is no fee to apply.
To qualify, each band member must be a full-time student in grades nine through 12, with at least one member attending a Stark County school. The deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 8.
The battle show, featuring up to eight bands each performing two songs, typically draws a crowd of more than 1,000. The winning band will receive a prize package valued at more than $500.
