On Feb. 17, the Springfield Chamber will host the first of their Monthly Speaker Series. This series will be held the third Thursday of each month at TJ Ambers Restaurant in the Tri-County Plaza.
Networking starts at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30. After dinner our speaker, Shon Christy, will speak on “Impactful Social Media for Small Business”
The entire evening will conclude about 8 p.m. Cost, including dinner, is $15 for chamber members who RSVP by Feb. 14, and $20 for non-chamber members. At the door cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
Shon Christy has been involved in the marketing world for over 15 years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management as well as his graduate degree from The University of Akron. Shon brings an expansive amount of experience in the areas of retail, consumer goods, and service industry marketing.
He brings a thorough knowledge of traditional marketing methods as well as the increasingly popular social media outlets to the table. Shon believes strongly in being heavily involved in the community where he has volunteered and donated to groups such as the Upside of Downs, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Big Brothers and Sisters of Summit County.
