Key action: Approved an agreement to aid other police departments when needed.
Discussion: Police Department Chief David Zink said the agreement is similar to agreements that fire departments make for mutual aid when the need is greater than the local department is able to handle. Law Director Neal Fitzgerald said the township already had agreements in place with a number of departments. Zink said the agreement was spearheaded by the Stark County Police Chiefs Association.
Other action
- Continued a hearing on a public nuisance determination in the 7900 block of Bentwood Circle NW after trustees decided the property owner was making progress on cleaning up the backyard, which was filled with miscellaneous debris, including construction material, mulch and garbage bags.
- Approved a $698,000 contract with Northstar Paving for resurfacing on Lake ’O Springs and Brunnerdale avenues NW.
