Ground Zero recovery workers will visit Akron this weekend and share their stories of 9-11.

During the Ohio FireRescue & EMS Expo at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, the Ground Zero recovery workers will autograph books and answer questions about their experiences during the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

The event is open to the public and also features exhibits about the latest technological advances for fire, EMS, hazmat, search and rescue and more. Firefighters and first responders also may receive continuing education credit for attending.

Hours are Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults. Children 16 and under are free.
