Lake girls basketball senior guard Miranda Diesz has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Kenyon College.

The 5-foot-9 shooting guard gave her verbal committment before the start of the season.

“Kenyon’s style of play is very condusive to my style,” Diesz said. “This year they have made more 3s than anybody in the NCAC conference. And they don’t hesitate to kick it back out when the posts feel resistance inside.”

Diesz entertained several Division 2 and Division 3 schools in surronding states.

“Kenyon was just the best fit, it is like a small (Division 4) league school, beautiful campus, (with) arguably the best Division 2/Division 3 athletic facilities,” Diesz said. “I really liked coach Helfant, who has been the head coach for 18 years.”
