AJ Pamer of Troop 265 at John Knox Presbyterian Church recently received his Eagle Scout Award.

Pamer is the 49th Eagle Scout from Troop 265 to reach the rank of Eagle. For his Eagle Scout service project, Pamer, the son of Mark and Michelle Pamer of Jackson Township, coordinated the installation of a “re-purposed” brick walkway connecting the parking lot to the pavilion at John Knox Church.  He secured donated bricks from an old section of Oberlin Road and the demolished Republic Steel Buildings in Massillon.

Pamer has earned 28 merit badges, Pipestone Honors, a 5th-year Polar Bear Winter Camping Award, and is a Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow. He completed National Youth Leadership Training and completed a 100-mile Philmont backpacking trip in Cimarron, NM. He remains active with Troop 265 as Troop Guide. He has earned the Bronze Palm Award for his continued activity in scouting after receiving Eagle rank.

Pamer is a senior in the Automotive Technology Program at Jackson High School.
