Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a northwest township home Sunday evening.
Several trucks reported to 3767(Information has been corrected to fix an error. See correction at end of story. 3:30 p.m. July 25.) Princeton Ave. NW about 5:45 p.m. to find a structural fire in the northeast side of the ranch-style home.
Chief Tracy Hogue said the home had heavy smoke throughout and looks much worse on the inside than it does from outside.
He estimates about $15,000 in damage.
Hogue said firefighters were able to put the fire out quick.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire and has narrowed down the origin to the living room.
No residents or pets were hurt.
Hogue said no one had been home since 8 a.m. Sunday.
