Cargill – Salt Division and AECOM, in partnership with the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, is inviting the public to participate in two canal cleanups from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27-28.
The Cargill and AECOM cleanups focus on the sections of canal and Towpath Trail between the Richard Howe House to Nesmith Lake.
Volunteers will meet at the Richard Howe House at 9 a.m. for instructions before heading out to begin the cleanups. The group will meet at the Howe House, at 47 W. Exchange St., Akron, at noon for lunch.
