U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Lakeville, has opened a district office in Ashland.
The location is in the Ashland County Office Building at 110 Cottage Street. The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays.
An email from Gibbs’ spokeswoman Caroline Califf several weeks ago said that the location was selected because it’s in a central location within the 7th Congressional District. Gibbs represents an area that stretches as far north as Lorain County and as far south as Coshocton County.
Constituents in the 7th Congressional District, which includes Canton, Massillon and most of Stark County, can seek help at the office from Gibbs’ staffers in resolving issues with federal agencies.
They can also call the office at 419-207-0650. The fax number is 419-207-0655.
“Additionally, our plan is to open an office within Stark County,” the email said, without revealing when that would happen.
