TUESDAY MEETING

KEY ACTION
  Passed a resolution to put a 1 mill, five-year levy on the May 7, ballot for parks and recreational purposes.

DISCUSSION  If approved, the additional levy will generate $1.23 million a year, and would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $30.62 a year.

OTHER ACTION  

• Approved purchasing 15 Lifepak Defibrillators for the Fire Department for $152,135.

• Changed the designation of the compost facility to transfer facility. Public Works Director Ralph Boger said the change reduces the amount of time spent on paperwork required for the compost designation.

• Accepted donations to the 2013 Community Celebration as follows: $500 from Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co.  and $1,000 from Employers Health Purchasing Corporation.
