Many area Post Offices will close at 2 p.m. on July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
The Main Post Office at 675 Wolf Ledges Parkway will be open until 5 p.m.
The Downtown Station, 209 S. Main St., and the Chapel Hill Station, 2000 Brittain Rd, will be closed.
P.O. Box mail access will only be available until 2 p.m. in those Post Offices where retail counters and access to Post Office Boxes are co-located and are affected by early retail closing. Offices with 24-hour box access are not affected.
Mail will be delivered on July 3. Last mail pickup from the blue collection boxes on July 3rd will be at noon, unless there is an earlier scheduled pick-up time listed.
There will be no mail delivery or mail collection on July 4, although Express Mail will be delivered.
