A boil alert has been issued for residents east of Canton Road (state Route 91) in the village until 4 p.m. April 12.
Village workers were testing a fire hydrant and lost pressure, a village official said. As soon as water quality tests are complete, service will be restored.
Residents are advised to boil water before using it until the alert has been canceled and water is determined safe to drink.
