Uniontown, Ohio -

Police arrested a 54-year-old Canton man on charges of receiving stolen property, possessing criminal tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers said they found copper pipe, wire cutters, pliers, and two drug-related instruments inside his car during a traffic stop on Cleveland Avenue. He was booked into the Stark County Jail.

Thieves broke into two vehicles outside a home on Chickasaw Trail and took a laptop, GPS unit and two speakers. Total value of the property was not known.

A Foxfire Street man reported someone broke two windows on his garage door and tried to pry the door open to get inside. No entry was gained. Damage was about $1,200.

A 21-year-old Edison Street man was arrested for assaulting a 14-year-old girl at his home. He was booked into the Stark County Jail.

A Moonglo Street woman told police that someone used her credit card to withdraw $982 from her bank account. The incident is under investigation.

An iPod valued at $149 was reported stolen from a car on Shawnee Street.
Police charged a male juvenile with possession of drug paraphernalia after finding three marijuana pipes in his car during a traffic stop on Lake Center Street.
