A 38-year-old Wise Road woman was charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence. Her boyfriend told deputies that she was verbally abusive and tried to intimidate him by holding a small handgun at her side. She said the gun was underneath her leg while she was sitting in the living room. Deputies arrested her at the scene and transported her to the Summit County Jail.
A silver Masonic ring with a diamond center was reported stolen from a 93-year-old patient at a nursing home on Jarvis Road. Value of the ring was not known.
A 19-year-old Akron man was charged with assault after deputies said he struck a man in the face with his head at a school on Shriver Road. The victim was treated at the scene and advised to see his doctor.
Five students at Green High School said someone stole money and other items from their purses while they were left unattended in the band room.
A 51-year-old Dewalt Drive woman was charged with domestic violence. Deputies said she kicked her sister in the chest during an argument at their home. She was arrested and taken to the Summit County Jail.
A cell phone and a pair of tennis shoes, total value $359, were reported stolen from a car on Madora Avenue.
Deputies charged a 15-year-old girl with two counts of drug possession after marijuana and pills were found at her home on Wise Road. She was summoned to appear in juvenile court and released to her father.
A wallet containing a driver’s license, two bank cards and $100 was taken from a locker at a Massillon Road fitness center. The wallet was later found in a trash can. All the items were still inside except the cash.
A 26-year-old Akron woman was charged with domestic violence. Deputies said she was the primary aggressor in a confrontation with her soon-to-be ex-husband at a home on Koons Road. She is accused of scratching him on the face and arms during a talk that turned physical.
A yard cart valued at $125 was taken from outside a home on Greensburg Road.
A Cynthia Drive woman told deputies that someone spit a foreign substance into her tea while she was at a fast food restaurant on Massillon Road. An internal investigation by the restaurant found no evidence of wrongdoing. The report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
