Marie’s Majestic Miniatures offers dollhouse enthusiasts anything a person can imagine to build their dream house.

“It is like a miniature home design,” said owner Sharon Brooks. “We have anything you can imagine to build a dollhouse.”

Though she offers higher end and less available items, Marie’s Majestic Miniatures also carries the basic components. From table settings to walls, shingles and bricks, it is available at the Green store. She can special order as well.

“If they can imagine it, we can get it,” Brooks said.

Wide range of items available

Brooks said she has items available for those new to the hobby as well as classic items for those who have been builders for years.

Among the most unique items are rutter porcelain, Clarabell Brass and D-Design Brand items.

Brooks has been a dollhouse enthusiast for more than 30 years. She helped her daughter build one, when her daughter, Sheryl Hartz, was 10 years old.

“I have an honest interest in building dollhouses,” she said. “I have many years experience.”

With those years of experience under her belt, Brooks said she is available for consulting for those who are building a dollhouse or have an interest in building one. Sheryl works as her artistic display specialist.

Good location

Brooks chose her Green location because it is convenient to patrons from Akron and Canton. With dollhouse stores in both cities having closed, Brooks decided to set up shop in the middle.

“The next closest shop is in Cleveland,” she said.

A unique touch to her store is the display of an opera house by Jerry Mcloney. Brooks said it came from Victoria Station, the store that closed in Canton and was supposed to go to a museum but found its home at Marie’s Majestic Miniatures.

Marie’s Majestic Miniatures is located at 3572 S. Arlington Rd. in Green. For more information call 330-899-9377.
