Ever watched the Portage Lakes Fireworks and said, “I bought that rocket?”
The Portage Lakes Fireworks Committee is holding a Buy-A-Rocket campaign to raise funds for the 2008 fireworks.
For as little as $25 you can buy a rocket. You can pick from blue, red, green, yellow, white and gold rockets. You can also decide whether you want a star pattern, crackling shell or salute (boomer) and its size (4-10” shells) among others.
Visit www.portagelakes.com or National City Bank in Portage Lakes or Green to buy one.
You will receive an official certificate noting you bought a rocket in the 2008 Portage Lakes Buy-A-Rocket campaign. You can also purchase rockets at Dano’s Lakeside Pub, George Ayers Insurance, Dietz’, Dusty’s or Cole Industries.
The annual fireworks show at Portage Lakes is set for July 5.
