Canton Carolers

Christmas Carolers starting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22 at Gervasi Vineyard at 1700 55th St. NE Canton Carolers will be at the Gervasi Vineyard estate select Fridays and Saturdays in December. Enjoy the sounds of traditional carols performed inside and outside The Bistro and The Marketplace at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22, weather Permitting.

Gingerbread Tradition

"Home Sweet Home: A Gingerbread Tradition" will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at Fieldcrest Estate, 1346 Easthill St. SE, North Canton. Home Sweet Home: A Gingerbread Tradition invites families, friends, couples or the crafty single to choose from one of the floor plans to build and decorate as you please. Come one, come all, families, girlfriends, couples or the crafty single to choose from one of our floor plans to build and decorate. Cost depends on the size of your hose and all the sweets and specialties that you choose to use in your decorating.  All gingerbread will be pre-baked. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 330-966-2222. 

Holiday in the Park

Jackson Township's Holiday in the Park will be from 5-7 p.m., Dec. 8 at North Park, 7660 Fulton Road NW. The annual event will feature refreshments, caroling and the community tree lighting. The Jackson Parks and Recreation Division will have a great display of lights for the event. Children can enjoy a surprise visit from Santa Claus. This free event is sponsored by the Jackson Township Parks and Recreation Division, Jackson Girl Scouts Service Unit, and Crosspoint United Methodist Church.

It’s A Wonderful Life

Check out  a performance of the Christmas Classic "It's a Wonderful Life" at 8 p.m. Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 and 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre, 324 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton. The story is a natural for a stage adaptation: the saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty, whose guardian angel has to descent on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him - by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.avenuearts.org.
