Akron Fright Fest and Kidtober Fest

Akron Fright Fest, which consists of five haunted houses, is Friday and Saturday nights from dark until midnight, with last paying customer taken at 11:30 p.m. Fright Fest is at Melanie Lake at Kim Tam Park, 2881 Canton Road, Springfield Twp. Four of the houses are traditional haunted houses with high startle and medium gore, but they are suggested for those 14 and older. House five is geared toward adults and those under 18 years old need a waiver from parents or guardian due to adult content and scenes that could be offensive. For a tamer experience, Kidtober is held Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. at Melanie Lake and is fun for all family members of all ages. Purchase tickets online at akronfrightfest.com.
