Troopers say he was driving with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.

LAKE TWP.  A North Canton man convicted nine times of drunken driving was arrested for a 10th time following a car crash Sunday afternoon.

Sean R. McMaster, 54, of the 1000 block of Overland Avenue NE, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Sunday at Cleveland Avenue NW and Heckman Street by troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol's Canton post.

Troopers say McMaster had been driving a vehicle involved in the crash and tried to leave the scene.

A bystander followed him.

Jail records said troopers found McMaster was intoxicated at the time of the crash and that the car he'd taken not only didn't belong to him, he'd taken it without the owner's consent.

Troopers say his blood-alcohol content level was 0.219, more than two and a half times over the legal limit of 0.08.

McMaster was jailed on another felony OVI charge and on charges of misdemeanor OVI, driving under suspension, failure to use reasonable control of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

He remained in the jail Tuesday, held in lieu of $26,000 bond pending court hearings.

Crash details were not yet available.
