NORTH CANTON  The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will sponsor its ninth annual Faith and Family Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at Walsh University, 2020 W. Maple St. (west quad).

Brooke Taylor will serve as emcee of the free event, which includes a Mass at 11 a.m. with Bishop George V. Murry.

There also will be nationally known musical acts, including polka artist Matt Schafer, Puerto Rican ensemble Conjunto Riquena, gospel singer Felicia Landry and Christian rock bands Remedy Drive and Stars Go Dim.

There also will be a wide variety of activities for kids, students and families, a prayer tent, various vendors and exhibitors, confessions, Eucharistic adoration and affordable food by Café Augustine.

A cake baking contest and sale will highlight the 75th Anniversary of the Diocese of Youngstown.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Freewill offerings will be accepted.
