The Player's Guild Theatre will present Disney’s "Newsies," a Broadway musical, at 8 p.m. Sept. 21 to Oct. 7 at the Player’s Guild Theatre, 1001 Market Ave., Canton. Set in turn-of-the century New York City, "Newsies" is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged newspaper delivery boys. When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what is right.
