Uniontown Police say he grabbed the keys to the pickup truck and drove away.

LAKE TWP. Uniontown Police arrested a Summit County man accused of stealing a pickup truck from a local car dealership.

Stark County Jail records show Matthew T. Martin, 32, of Akron, was driving the vehicle with two other individuals when police caught him at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of 16th Street SW in Canton. The jail records did not identify the two people he was driving nor say whether they were arrested.

According to the jail records, Martin stole a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado on Sunday from Prime Auto Sales at 12823 Cleveland Ave. NW.

He was jailed on felony charges of grand theft and breaking and entering.

Jail records also show he was wanted by Macedonia police and Summit County Sheriff's deputies on unspecified warrants.

He remained in the jail early Thursday, held without bond pending court hearings.
