Food Truck Festival

The Springfield Fire Food Truck Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 at 2459 Canfield Road. It is a family and pet friendly event with activities for adults and kids. A variety of food trucks will be on hand as well as craft beer and wine. Musical entertainment will be by JT Teis from 1 to 4 p.m.; and from 4:30 to close will be the 3rd Alarm band. Face painting and Superheroes and Princesses will be at the event from 4 to 8 p.m.

Community fun day

A community fun day and picnic will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 4 with midway games and inflatables at Queen of Heaven Church, 1800 Steese Road, Green. A 4 p.m. mass will precede the event. Dinners will be catered by Boy Scout Troop 334 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. (adult dinner, $10 and children’s dinner, $7). A free concert by LaFlavour will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. A raffle is being held for a 2018 Chevy Cruze; second place prize, $500; and four third place prizes of $100 each. Free Weekend Music

Springfield Rocks summer concert series will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Lakefront Park Gazebo, 2491 Canfield Road, with a performance by Bluegrass Mountaineers (Bluegrass). The concert is free to the public. For weather updates, call the concert hotline at 330-794-1739 for possible cancellation. Also, on Aug. 3, enjoy the French gypsy-style music of Moustache Yourself from 7 to 8 p.m. at a free concert, presented by the city of Akron.
