Thomas the Tank Engine
Thomas the Tank Engine invites little engineers to join him for a day of big adventures and even bigger memories at Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2018. Children can spend a day with their friend Thomas when the #1 Engine pulls into Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad on May 25, 26 and 27. Little engineers and their families take a 30-minute ride on their favorite engine and enjoy a day of Thomas & Friends fun with outdoor activities, bounce houses, a magic show, Imagination Station and more. Rides depart every hour, rain or shine. Gates open at 9 a.m. Free parking is available at the site. Departure times begin at 9:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. each day. Basics of fishing
Kids 15 and younger can learn the basics of fishing, then drop a line at Little Turtle Pond from 10 a.m. to noon May 26. A few rods and reels will be available for use. Bait is provided. Adults must supervise their children but are not permitted to fish. The pond is located at Firestone Metro Park, 2400 Harrington Road. For information, call 330-865-8065.
The Massillon Dixieland Jazz Band presents a live concert from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Massillon Senior Center, 39 Lincoln Way W. The first part of the evening will feature traditional New Orleans jazz and the second half of the program will be open to musicians, young and old, who want to sit in and jam with the band.
