• Police arrested a North Canton girl, 14, at her home stemming from an incident that occurred at Hoover High School. The suspect was charged with possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, issued a summons to appear in court and released to her mother.

• A Canton man, 38, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for abandoning animals. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a Stark County Sheriff’s deputy.

• An employee at an East Maple Street business reported that two suspects entered the store, one with drug paraphernalia, and the other trespassing, stealing items from the shelves and exiting the store without paying. The suspect dropped the merchandise when confronted by an employee and fled in a vehicle driven by the other suspect, but both were later arrested in the area.

• A Canton woman, 44, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The suspect was taken into custody near the intersection of West Maple Street and Wise Avenue and turned over to a Stark County Sheriff’s deputy.

• A Holl Road woman, 94, reported that an unknown suspect stole jewelry from a dresser drawer at her home. The victim claimed the jewelry, with a value of $2,000, was taken when she wasn’t looking, but it was later located and the case was closed.

• Police arrested a Brookhaven Circle NE man, 32, at a Canton residence on charges of theft, criminal damaging and vehicle trespass stemming from an incident at a Rose Lane Street location. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A North Lawrence woman, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody at the police station and released with a summons to appear in court.

• A Rose Lane woman reported seeing a white male suspect enter her neighbor’s car while it was parked in a garage port and steal a tire repair kit and other items with a total value of $130. The suspect was captured without incident inside his brother’s apartment building nearby.

• An employee at a North Main Street business reported that a suspect drilled through a lock to gain access to money inside the business. The employee reported the theft of $1,150 in cash from a lock box. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a North Canton man at a Mabry Mill Drive on charges of possessing drug abuse instruments, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to control. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Canton man, 26, was arrested at a Cleveland Avenue location on a charge of theft stemming from an incident at a Pittsburg Avenue business. The suspect was taken into custody on a warrant and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• An employee at a North Main Street business reported that a suspect kicked and damaged a door at the business. The suspect came to the business after several days of no contact with the reportee and when asked to leave, broke the door on his way out. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal damaging.

• Officers responded to a call from a Hoover High School staff member who was with a student and the student had come to the school seeking to speak with a guidance counselor while the school was on spring break. The student reported that his father put his hand’s around the student’s neck during a verbal confrontation that escalated quickly. Because the incident occurred outside North Canton, the student was advised to contact Massillon police, where the incident took place, and a Massillon officer was notified and promised to follow up on the matter.
