330 Day Concert
The Summit and The330.net present the 330 Day Concert at 7 p.m. March 30. The evening is free and is an acoustic music showcasing 33 of Northeast Ohio’s finest musicians. Doors open at 6 p.m. the show begins at 7 p.m. and is held at the Akron Civic Theater, 182 South Main Street. The concert is open for all ages.
Easter egg hunts
- Join the Easter Bunny at 1 p.m. March 31 for the annual City of Green Easter Egg Hunt at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd. Parking for the event is available at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road, and Kids Country, 1801 Town Park Boulevard. Toddlers to 10 year olds, who are Green residents, are invited to attend this free event. Children will be limited to six eggs each. Kids who verify they have six eggs will receive an extra gift. Registration is requested through the City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division by calling 330-896-6621, emailing email@example.com or registering online at www.cityofgreen.org on or before 4 p.m. March 30. - At 10 a.m. a Children's Egg-stravaganza will be held for kids through sixth grade at Grace UCC Uniontown, 13275 Cleveland Ave., just north of Route 619 and directly across the street from Uniontown Elementary School. The event will have games, crafts and a traditional Easter egg hunt, rain or shine, in the Family Activity Center. For questions, call the church office at 330-699-3255.
Sam Quinones speaks
At 6:30 p.m., April 2, Sam Quinones journalist, a storyteller, former LA Times reporter and author of three acclaimed narrative nonfiction books will speak as part of the author events for Stark Library. His most recent book addresses America’s opiate epidemic. He was selected as a 2008 recipient of the Maria Moors Cabot prize and is a 1998 recipient of an Alicia Patterson Fellowship.
