Breakfast with the Bunny

Tickets are now on sale for Breakfast with the Bunny at the Akron Zoo. The event runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 17 to 18, 24 to 25 and 31. Reservations are required and space is limited. Tickets to the event include a full breakfast buffet, crafts, activities and visits with the Easter Bunny. Guests will also receive admission into the zoo following the event. An outdoor egg hunt will take place at 10:30 a.m. for children to participate in and each child will receive a goody bag. Tickets can be purchased at akronzoo.org or in person at the zoo’s box office. Prices for the event are $16 for adults and $23 for children for Akron Zoo members and $24 for adults and $29 for children for non-members. The Elegant Egg and More

The Elegant Egg and More, a show and sale of exquisite eggshell artistry will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 17 and noon to 4 p.m. on March 18 at Our Lady of the Elms, 1375 W Exchange Street. Egg decorating classes will be held at 1:30 p.m. both days. The cost of the classes are for those 10 and up and range in cost from $20 to $40. The gate fee is $5 for adults and $2.50 for those ages 12 to 17 and under 12 free. There will also be basket drawings, auction, Easter Basket Raffle and more.  The program is presented by the Ohio Egg Artists Guild. Taking in the Old Testament

Travel to some of the important sites in the Old Testament including the Northernmost point of Israel - Ancient Dan and the Golan Heights, also Mt. Carmel, Tel Megiddo, the Spring of Herod, Beersheba, Beit She’an, and the Dead Sea Area. Then learn about the sites of Qumran and the magnificent building projects of Herod the Great. From 1 to 3:30 p.m., March 21, Karen Eckart will present the program and will continue the trip visiting sites mentioned in the New Testament, including Caesarea Philippi, Caesarea Marittima, Galilee, Capernaum, Mt. of Beatitudes, the Jordan River, Bethlehem and Christian sites in Jerusalem.
