• Police arrested a Uniontown boy, 16, at Hoover High School on a charge of disorderly conduct by fighting or threatening. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene to his mother.

• An Applegrove Street woman, 45, reported that an unknown suspect entered a student’s locker and stole the student’s cell phone at North Canton Middle School. After an investigation, the phone was located and the case was closed.

• Officers responded to a call regarding an Applegrove Street woman, 18, after two fellow employees reported concerns about her mental well being. The co-workers reported hearing the individual speak of suicide and make false claims about being locked inside a storage area at work. The individual was no longer present when police arrived, but a sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to her location for a welfare check.

• Police responded to a call from a Peach Street resident who wanted to speak to an officer about his mother-in-law, who he believes is harassing him through text messages and calling child protective services on him. The man reported canceling the woman’s phone from his plan because he no longer wanted to be in contact with her. He told officers the woman calls child protective services when he spanks his children. He was advised to call police if the woman came to his residence or made any threats toward him.

• A manager at a Main Street business reported that an unknown suspect stole $150 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets and left without paying for them. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Glendale Street SW man, 54, at a Sunset Strip location stemming from an incident in which he was determined to have possessed a defaced firearm and was accused of domestic violence curing belief of imminent physical harm. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Stratavon Drive boy, 16, was arrested at a 7th Street location on a charge of assault knowingly causing harm to the victim. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released to his mother at the scene.

• A Canton man, 22, was arrested near the intersection of Bachtel Street and Main Street on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• Officers responded to a call regarding a possible domestic dispute at a Woodside Avenue residence. Upon arrival, a woman, 41, told police that there was no physical violence but that there had been a verbal dispute between she and her daughter, 17. The officers also left a message with the daughter’s parole officer, who informed them that she is aware of the situation.

• A Pierce Avenue NW man, 31, was arrested at a North Main Street location on an outstanding warrant. The suspect as taken into custody and released to a sheriff’s deputy.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 27, at a South Main Street location on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a Canton Police Department officer.

• A Hoover High School student was arrested charged with assault and disorderly conduct. The suspect was involved in a fight at the school and was taken into custody.

• An employee at a South Main Street business reported that an unknown suspect exited the business without paying for merchandise, passing all points of sale. An investigation is pending.

• A Canton woman, 32, was arrested at an Atlantic Boulevard location on a charge of theft without consent. The suspect was taken into custody by a sheriff’s deputy and turned over to North Canton police.

• A North Canton woman, 51, reported that her husband threatened to break her legs or pour acid on her face during a dispute. The woman had an existing temporary protection order against the suspect, who allegedly called her and made the threats. An investigation is pending.
