• A Roselane Avenue man, 48, reported that an unknown suspect broke into his unlocked vehicle and removed several items from inside while it was parked at his residence. The man reported parking the vehicle inside his garage after getting home from work and when he returned to the vehicle the following day to go back to work, a handgun, holster and $20 were missing from the vehicle. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Greentown girl, 15, at a South Main Street location stemming from an incident at Hoover High School. The suspect was charged with assault knowingly causing harm to the victim and was released into the custody of her grandfather.

• A Canton woman 33, was arrested at a North Main Street residence on a charge of theft by deception. The suspect was taken into custody, issued a summons to appear in court and released the the scene.

• Police responded to a report from a Roselane Street woman, 45, who reported that her disabled husband had left their residence and was out on the street on his own. Officers found the woman to be making incoherent statements and rambling when she claimed her husband was outside and that a roommate may be using narcotics. The roommate advised officers that the woman has been diagnosed with a mental illness and was not taking her medication. The woman was later transported to a local medical facility for evaluation.

• A North Canton boy, 15, was arrested on a charge of making false alarms or circulating a false report or warning, related to an incident at Hoover High School. The suspect’s parents were notified of the charges by phone.

• A Hartville man, 21, was arrested at a Market Avenue location on a charge of forgery without authority, a fifth-degree felony. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• An Allergien Street NW man, 63, reported that an unknown suspect cut a lock from his garage and stole a snowblower from inside. A witness reported seeing a suspect enter the garage, remove the snowblower and put it into a van. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested an Abigail Street girl, 14, on a charge of making false alarms or circulating a false report or warning, related to an incident at Hoover High School. The suspect’s parents were notified of the charges by phone.

• A Maple Street girl, 16, was arrested at her residence on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by way of being habitually disobedient. The suspect’s grandmother was notified of the charges.

• Police arrested Hoover High School student, 16, at the school on a charge of consumption of an alcoholic beverage by a person under the age of 21. The alleged consumption took place while the student was at school.

• A Roselane Avenue woman, 53, was arrested near the intersection of Cornell Avenue and Everhard Road on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• A North Main Street woman, 26, reported that an unknown suspect removed an item from her residence without permission to do so. An investigation is pending.

• A Pierce Avenue NW man, 31, was arrested at a North Main Street residence on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The suspect was taken into custody and released to a sheriff’s deputy.

• A South Main Street woman, 76, called police to report that her son had threatened her. After meeting with the woman, officers found that she had removed money from a joint bank account with her son and the son told her she would regret removing the money. The son was not present during the meeting and police determined that no violence or threats of violence had occurred.
