Deputies seized a gun when they arrested the elderly man.

CANTON  Stark County Sheriff's deputies arrested a  74-year-old man with a gun after a "road rage" incident.

The man, who lives on Arbor Creek Avenue NW in Jackson Township, was arrested about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Whipple Avenue NW.

Stark County Jail records said he pointed a handgun at another person during the incident, which police deemed the result of road rage. Details about the incident were not available early Wednesday morning.

The man was jailed on misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Jail records show he was released about six hours later after posting $164 bond pending a court hearing.
