The Canton Repository's 72nd annual Regional Final Spelling Bee will be March 3 at the GlenOak High School Theater.

The bee, which will begin at 1:30 p.m., is presented by Malone University.

Students from Stark, Tuscarawas, Carroll and Wayne counties will be competing in the bee.

The winner wins an expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Be Week runs May 27 to June 2, with spelling taking place May 29-31.

The event is free and open to the public, and features former Canton Museum of Art director M.J. Albacete as the pronouncer, and GateHouse Ohio Executive Editor Rich Desrosiers as master of ceremonies.
