Neil Diamond tribute

The Diamond Project, featuring an 11-piece band, will perform the hits of Neil Diamond on at the Lions Lincoln Theatre, 156 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, on Jan. 20. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $15 for the balcony and $20 for the main floor. Tickets are available online at www.lionslincolntheatre.org or by calling 1-800-838-3006. The Diamond Project is dedicated to performing a true replication of the musical styling of a live Neil Diamond concert.  Rather than give the audience a straight studio version of Neil's classics, it strives to incorporate the excitement, energy and musicianship that only a live show can provide. 

Day at the parks

Take a hike to learn about the unique traits that help plants and animals survive winter at the Goodyear Heights metro Park Pioneer Area, 550 Frazier Ave., Akron, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 20. The hike will be held from. The Summit County Metro Parks is also hosting Underwater Hibernators from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 22. Where do turtles, dragonflies, frogs and other aquatic creatures go in winter? Stroll along the Towpath Trail to learn how these animals survive the cold. The location is the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail/Manchester Road Trailhead, 2740 Manchester Road. Harlem Globtrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their 2018 "Amazing Feats of Basketball World Tour" to Canton Civic Center in Canton at 7 p.m. Jan. 23. The team’s upcoming performance will showcase the high-flying, fun, and memory-making moments that the Globetrotters are known for - the dribbling, the dunking, and the shooting.
