GREEN  During the November meeting, the Green Board of Education adopted its 2018-19 school calendar.

This was done to allow parents to plan ahead when scheduling trips and vacation times, according to Board President Bob Campbell.

"It was requested by parents to have the school calendar available as soon as possible, and we worked with the GEA (Green Education Association) to get this done at the earliest possible date to accommodate this request," he said.

The student's first day is Aug. 22 in 2018. Thanksgiving break will be Nov. 21-26, with Christmas break to follow from Dec. 24-Jan. 2, Spring break from March 25-29 and Easter break April 19-22. The students' last day will be May 31. For the complete calendar, go to www.greenlocalschools.org and look under "Quick Links".
