Oak Ridge Boys in town
The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Canton Palace Theatre. A Christmas Carol
Stark County's beloved and spectacular holiday tradition returns as the Players Guild Theatre presents "A Christmas Carol" from 8 to 11 p.m. opening on Dec. 1. Come see Charles Dicken’s ghost story of Ebenezer Scrooge in downtown Canton. Tickets are $29 single, $22 for 17 and under and $26 for seniors. The show runs through Dec. 17.
Enjoy the Holiday Party at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, 800 McKinley Monument Drive, Canton, from 6 to 8 p.m. It’s the museum's annual open house with music, crafts for kids, open hearth cooking demonstrations and much more. Tickets are $5 a person.
Christmas on the Canal
The holidays and history meet on the streets of Canal Fulton for Christmas on the Canal from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 2. Ice and wood carvers scatter the town, Santa stops at one lucky merchant for photos, time stands still with a tour of the Oberlin House and Olde Canal Days Museum. Carolers entertain shoppers where local merchants offer refreshments, raffles and special discounts. As dusk draws the evening to a close, the electric lights parade leads participants to public square with the lighting the Christmas tree.
