Two men injured in a Tuesday crash on Frank Avenue remain hospitalized, while Jackson police continue their investigation.

JACKSON TWP.  Two men remain hospitalized because of injuries suffered in a Tuesday morning crash that left a woman dead.

Anthony Ionno, 69, of Brewster, is being treated at Akron General Medical Center receiving initial treatment at Mercy Medical Center, police said. Ralph Keeton, 63, of Jackson Township, is being treated at Aultman Hospital.

Susan Grillon-Ionno, 60, of Brewster, died in the crash that occurred on Frank Avenue NW just after 9:30 a.m.

Jackson Township police continue investigating the crash and meeting with witnesses to gather details. Police said there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Investigators have said that Grillon-Ionno was driving a Chevrolet Sonic north on Frank near Quail Hill Street NW. Her husband, Anthony, was a passenger in the car. Keeton was driving a Toyota RAV4 sports utility vehicle south on Frank Avenue and went left of center, hitting the Sonic head on.

Firefighters from Jackson and Green fire department has to use cutting tools to extract the victims from the vehicles.

Funeral services for Grillon-Ionna, who was retired from Apple Creek Developmental Center and worked at a Massillon area group home, are planned for Monday at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster. She is survived by her husband, a son, two step-daughters, two sisters and a niece and nephews.
