A Canton man, 19, was charged Oct. 16 with assault. Police said he is accused of punching a woman in the face during an altercation outside an apartment complex on South Boulevard.
Two women were arrested at a Dressler Road department store Oct. 16. Police said a 20-year-old Uniontown woman went into a fitting room and concealed $190 in clothing in a large purse. A 40-year-old Seville woman, also suspected of shoplifting, was charged after police allegedly found two used syringes and other drug-related items in her purse. She reportedly admitted using the syringes to inject heroin and methamphetamine.
A manager at a Sunset Strip Avenue motel called police Oct. 16 to have a guest removed from a room. Police issued a warning to the person not to return to the location or he would be facing charges for criminal trespass.
Police were called to investigate a burglary and ID theft at a Woodlawn Avenue residence Oct. 15. A man told police someone broke into his apartment and stole his mailbox key, then used it to get into his mailbox to steal a debit card. The card was used to pay for more than $1,000 in purchases.
A man ran out of a Whipple Avenue supermarket with a $55 bottle of vodka hidden under his shirt, according to an Oct. 15 report.
A Canton man, 26, was charged Oct. 14 with disorderly conduct. Employees at a Dressler Road bar called police after the highly intoxicated man became combative when asked to leave. Several employees were holding the man to the ground when officers arrived.
A Louis Vitton purse, golf clubs and a pair of sunglasses, total value $3,550, were reported stolen Oct. 14 from an unlocked car in the 6700 block of Pontberry Street Northwest.

A Barrington Place man, 52, was arrested on Mega Street Northwest Oct. 13 on a warrant for failure to appear on a tax filing charge. He was turned over to Canton police.
A Doylestown woman reported a black lockbox and a drug prescription were stolen from her vehicle while she was dining at a Dressler Road restaurant Oct. 13.
A Massillon man reported someone "keyed" his car while he was at work on Whipple Avenue Oct. 13. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
On Oct. 12, a Michael Drive man told police someone he knows stole a personal check from his home in late September, then forged and cashed it for $1,500. The suspect reportedly admitted to taking the check. Charges were pending, police said.
A Williamsburg Lane woman, 64, was arrested Oct. 12 on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a count each of failure to comply with a police signal and driving under suspension. Police said the woman willfully eluded an officer attempting to stop her for a traffic violation on Woodlawn Avenue. She travelled two blocks before stopping at her home, police said.
A 37-inch TV valued at $500 was reported stolen Oct. 12 from a guest room at a Sunset Strip Avenue motel. Management also reported damage to a wall and stains on the bed sheets and towels.
Police are searching for a man who robbed a Whipple Avenue sub shop at gunpoint on Oct. 11. Reports said the man entered the business with his face covered around 9:40 p.m. armed with a small black pistol, demanding money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A Navarre man, 55, was charged Oct. 11 with domestic violence. Police said he pushed a woman twice to the ground during an altercation at her South Boulevard home. The woman had scrapes and redness on her right forearm and both knees, officers noted.
A Paulding Street man told police Oct. 11 that someone used his personal information to open a store credit card account in Miami, Fl. Fraudulent charges on the account exceeded $4,000.
While investigating a disabled car on Hills and Dales Road Oct. 10, police charged a 52-year-old Cleveland woman with possession of marijuana. She was issued a court summons and released.
