LAKE TWP.  The Lake Township Trustees cancelled a public hearing for a zoning change request from Clearwater Park aka Akron-Canton Jellystone Park that was originally scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 23.

The request was to rezone nine tracts of land or approximately 40 acres on the southside of Edison Street (Rt. 619) from Low Density Residential to General Commercial. 

"The request was rescinded by the property owner late this afternoon, so we canceled the zoning meeting," Trustee President Galen Stoll said.

OTHER ACTIONS: 

- Authorized paying bills as of Oct. 23 in the amount of $81,954.

- Approved the purchase and installation of six LED outside light fixtures for the Uniontown Police Department in the amount of $1,887 from Pauli Electric.

- Renewed the Aultman Avenue Maintenance Agreement with the city of Green with no changes from the last agreement from five years ago. Stoll said the agreement is renewed every five years and this agreement will go through May 31, 2022.

- Authorized an Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation/Settlement agreement with Sgt. David White of the Uniontown Police Department for a claim in 2016 for a hand injury he incurred.
