'Anything goes'

Wandering Aesthetics presents the Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret "Anything Goes," an open-mic style cabaret at 8 p.m. Sept. 30 at Hive Mind, 375 W. Exchange St., Akron. Dancing in Akron

Koresh Dance Company will perform at 3 p.m. Oct. 1 at The University of Akron’s EJ Thomas Hall. 'The Cat in the Hat'

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati presents "The Cat In the Hat" at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 South Main Street. Everyone's favorite cat comes to mischievous life in this theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat that they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly loads of fun. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for children 5 to 12 years old and children under $5 are free. 'Blue Moon'

Theatre 8:15 presents "Blue Moon," a timeless love story that tells how a single tick of the clock can decide true loves fate. Set in 1955 Cleveland, Blue Moon features 14 original songs.
