• A North Canton man was arrested and charged with failure to control and driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Glenwood Street. The suspect drove over the curb and after investigation, the officer determined him to be impaired. The suspect was booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Circle Hill Road SE woman, 38, reported that an unknown suspect entered her garage and stole items from inside her vehicle. The victim reported the theft of two items with a total value of $13,100 from inside the vehicle. An investigation is pending.

• Officers responded to a call from a Pershing Avenue residence regarding a woman screaming for help. The officers knocked on the door and a man and woman came to the door to speak to them. The two reported arguing, but said there had been no violence or threats of violence.

• A Forest Trail woman called police and reported that she had spoken with a male acquaintance who expressed suicidal thoughts and was believed to have a gun. Officers went to the man’s residence and he explained that he was out of work and depressed, but was willing to speak to crisis center counselors. A crisis center counselor came to the residence to speak to the man.

• A Sheraton Drive woman, 30, reported that a known suspect punched her in the face causing physical injury following a verbal argument. The suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic violence knowingly causing injury.

• An Applegrove Street woman, 62, reported harassment by a suspect who entered her property and refused to leave. The suspect had been at the home the previous night and returned, at which point the woman told him to leave and he refused. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

• A Massillon woman, 34, reported that a female friend had been drinking and wanted to harm herself. Officers located the friend, who immediately ran back inside the residence. After speaking with the woman, officers determined that she had been drinking liquor for an extended period of time trying to harm herself. Emergency personnel arrived to transport the woman to the hospital.

• Officers were dispatched to a Dillon Circle residence regarding an unwanted individual on a property. The reportee told police his ex-girlfriend came to the residence uninvited and began yelling and pounding on the front door. The woman was advised to leave and not return, or else she would be charged with criminal trespass. The woman then left the scene.

• An employee at a North Main Street business reported that a known suspect stole store merchandise by concealing it and passing all points of sale before leaving the store. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft without consent.

• A Canton man, 26, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. The suspect was turned over to the custody of a Minerva Police officer.

• A Portage Street NW man, 19, reported that an unknown suspect stole his bicycle. The man left the bicycle in his driveway overnight and when he went out in the morning, it was gone. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 50, at an Applegrove Street residence on charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• A Witwer Street man, 18, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for criminal trespass out of Aurora. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to an Aurora Police officer.

• Police arrested a Morrell Avenue man, 71, at a North Main Street location on a charge of theft without consent. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.
