The North Canton Alumni Association's 2017 Hall of Distinction Induction banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Hoover High School commons area.

Tickets are $25 each and are available from the North Canton City School District office or by calling Lisa Warburton-Gregory at 330-305-0779. Requests can be mailed to the Alumni Association, PO box 2534, North Canton, OH, 44720.

This year’s inductees include:

- Local ophthamologist Greg Gray, a fine student and athlete and a 1960 graduate of Hoover High School. 

- Local writer and sports historian James Phillip Holl, class of 1949.

- William J. Lhota, a 1957 North Canton High School graduate, is being recognized for an outstanding career in business management and community service. 

- Former Greentown resident Lewis Miller is being honored posthumously as an inventor of farm equipment and as a co-founder of the Chautauqua Institution.

- The fifth inductee is Lee Russell Sahadi who was born in London, England, and whose father had been a British Hoover evacuee during World War II.  Lee has spent more than 30 years in comprehensive human resource management for the Cleveland Clinic.
