Friday meeting

KEY ACTIONS: Accepted the resignation of head swim coach and English teacher Matthew Johnsen. Approved Rick Morrison as the new head swim coach.

DISCUSSION: A special meeting was held to complete several personnel issues, including the resignation of Johnsen and granting the new head swim coach a one-year contract. Johnson had submitted his resignation to the district Wednesday. He is awaiting trial on felony charges of engaging in sex acts with two swimmers on his team years ago.

OTHER ACTIONS:


Accepted the following additional resignations: Beatrice Bickel, clerk; Jeanette Moser, cafeteria worker; Michele Huprich, cafeteria worker; and Judy Clouse, educational assistant. All are effective Aug. 21, except Clouse's, which is effective Sept. 5.
Approved granting a limited contract to several monitors at the high school: Rebecca Dickson, Jim Harnack, Michelle Petraroli, Christina Vohs, Kyle Young and Santino Cordero-Carter.
Approved a limited contract for Anissa Beine as a reading specialist for 4.5 hours a day, five days a week for the 2017-2018 school year.
