Summer Kids Movie Series
The last two of the Summer Kids Movie Series will take place at 1 p.m. Aug. 7 and 14 at Canton Palace Theater, 605 Market Ave. N, Canton. On Aug. 7, the movie Sing, a computer-animated 3D movie in which a Koala tries to save his beloved theater by holding the world's greatest signing contest, will be shown. Concert on the Hill
Naturally Blue will perform a free, public concert from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 9 at Spring Hill Historic Home in Massillon, 1401 Spring Hill Lane NE. This local group specializes in hard stomping classic rock, blue and originals. Food will be for sale from the Spring Hill Woman's Board. The home will be open at 6 p.m. for self-guided tours.
Player's Guild production
"Memphis" will be at the Player’s Guild Theatre in downtown Canton from 8 to 11 p.m. Aug. 11. Inspired by actual events, "Memphis" tells the story of a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer who is ready for her big break. Wings for Freedom Tour
The MAPS Air Museum will be hosting the Collings Foundation’s 2017 Wings for Freedom Tour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 11-13. The 10th Annual MIX 94.1 1480 WHBC Aultcare Wish-A-Thon to benefit Wishes Can Happen will take place all day Aug. 10 and 11.
