AKRON  Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Amy Corrigall Jones sentenced a Cleveland man to life in prison Tuesday for the 2015 shooting death of a Green man during a robbery.

Trent Turner, 28, of Ansel Road in Cleveland, was found guilty last week of murder with a gun specification, a special felony; three counts of aggravated robbery with gun specifications and two counts of aggravated burgulary with gun specifications, all first-degree felonies; two counts of felonious assault with gun specifications, a second-degree felony; one count of grand theft with a gun specification and one count of having weapons under disability, both third-degree felonies; and one count of trespass in a habitation with a gun specification and one count of carrying a concealed weapon, both fourth-degree felonies.

Turner will be first be eligible for parole after serving 36 years.

On Nov. 9, 2015, Turner, along with Spencer Sims and Ty'Shawn Henderson, both of Medina, went to the apartment of 27-year-old Corey Seibel in Green with the intent to rob him of drugs. During the robbery, Turner shot Seibel several times, killing him.

Sims and Henderson previously pleaded guilty to their roles in the robbery and were each sentenced to 14 years in prison.
