Someone who saw two men moving items into the back of a truck in the Uniontown area thought something was wrong.

LAKE TWP.  Uniontown police called to a report of a suspicious person arrested two Akron men at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Edison Street NW where they were seen loading items into the back of a U-Haul truck.

The truck not only had a broken ignition, paneling around the steering wheel had been torn off and it was covered by a T-shirt.

The men — 54 and 53 years old — were jailed on felony charges of vandalism and theft from an elderly or disabled adult.

The younger man also had two small bags of meth in his pocket.

He was additionally jailed on a felony charge of aggravated drug possession.

Police said more charges against them are pending.

Both men were released from jail on their own recognizance early Thursday morning pending Canton Municipal Court hearings.
