Three foreign exchange students are in need of host families. They are set to arrive in August.
Host families are needed for three high school exchange students who will arrive in the United States next month.
Janis will arrive Aug. 4 from Germany. He swims, plays tennis, skis and likes to bake. He won a Department of State Congress-Bundestag scholarship to come to the United States. He wants to volunteer in his host community.
Isotta will arrive on Aug. 11 from Italy. She plays basketball, loves to cook and volunteered on a sailboat this past year. She also has started long distance cycling.
Nathaly will arrive on Aug. 17 from Ecuador. She is on a dance team and enjoys ballet, salsa and the meringue. She is a photographer and loves the outdoors, especially camping and backpacking with her family.
To be a host parent through the Council on International Educational Exchange, volunteers must be at least 25 years old and able to provide a welcoming home for one or two high school semesters, a bedroom and bed, a study area, meals at home and school and help coordinate appropriate transportation for the student. Students bring their own spending money and health insurance.
CIEE, the oldest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization in the nation, coordinates more than 16,000 host families and welcomes students from 55 different countries.
