NORTH CANTON  Pawsitive Ohio is collaborating with Greg Murray, a nationally acclaimed author and photographer of the popular book, "Peanut Butter Dogs," to help in promoting Doggone North Canton programming.

Doggone North Canton is planning a week of special events just for dogs and the people who love them. The week is always topped off with a multi-Rescue Dog Adoption & Wellness Fair.

The week is filled with dog-themed programming and events presented by the North Canton Public Library starting July 24 and running through July 27.

One of the events is a photo exhibit and book signing with Murray at the Little Art Gallery 5 to 7 p.m. July 27.

"We are so excited to have Greg Murray coming to the Little Art Gallery as part of Doggone North Canton week," said Jennifer Harrington, who works with Pawsitive Ohio to coordinate the weeklong programming. "I went with Keri Burick of the North Canton Public Library to one his book signings in Cleveland and we talked with him about coming to North Canton for our events. We are really happy he decided to visit us and help us with our programming."

Murray is a Cleveland native. He decided to combine his love for photography and animals into his career. He has used his photography skills to tell stories of Pitbull owners whose lives have been positively affected by adopting one as a best friend.

The "Peanut Butter Dogs" book is filled with 125 portraits of dogs attempting to eat peanut butter. Dogs range from chihuahuas to great Danes and French bulldogs. Murray’s work has been recognized by "Today," "Huffington Post," "Elle," and "People" among others.

Murray’s photographs will be on exhibit in the Little Art Gallery inside the North Canton Public Library in downtown North Canton from July 19-29 with the book signing on July 27.
