On July 3, a Canton woman told police she was at her workplace on Fulton Drive when she heard a car alarm go off. When she looked out, she saw the passenger door on her car open and the window smashed. A gym bag containing clothing, shoes and headphones was taken. A witness to the incident was able to get the license plate number from the suspect’s fleeing car.
An Elyria woman wanted on a felony warrant for failure to comply with a police officer was arrested July 3 and booked into the Stark County Jail. Township officers picked up the woman at the Lorain Police Department.
A Bolivar woman reported a wallet containing credit cards, personal documents and $25 was stolen from her car while she was inside an Everhard Road doctor’s office July 3.
A 25-year-old woman staying at a Sunset Strip Avenue motel was arrested July 3 on a Cuyahoga County warrant charging her with endangering children. She was placed in a holding cell at the Stark County Jail to await extradition.
While investigating a civil matter on Dressler Road July 3, police arrested a 36-year-old Hartville man on a warrant charging him with forgery. He was released to the Mogadore Police Department.
A Carrollton man, 24, was arrested July 2 for drunken driving and having an open container. Police said they stopped him on Belden Village Street for weaving and found an open bottle of beer in his car.
A 2013 Chevy Cruze belonging to a Canton man was reported stolen July 2 from the parking lot of a Whipple Avenue supermarket. A $900 65-inch TV and a $500 pre-paid credit card were inside the car at the time. Police entered the car into a national database for stolen vehicles.
A Harborview Avenue resident told police July 1 a man was harassing him with unwanted text messages after being told to stop. Police contacted the man and advised him to stop bothering the Harborview Avenue resident or he would be charged with telecommunications harassment.
A Canton man, 35, was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail July 1 on a warrant accusing him of violating a protection order.
Police were called to Belden Village Mall July 1 after a man reportedly fled a department store without paying for clothing and shoes worth $120.
A Sherlin Avenue man reported someone threw eggs at his truck July 1. No damage was reported.
