JACKSON TWP. The 2017 Jackson Township Community Celebration will open in Jackson’s North Park 6 to 11 p.m. on June 28. The food, fun and entertainment runs through July 1 when the event closes with a grand fireworks show.
Bates Amusement returns this year with plenty of rides. There’ll be an ample number of food vendors and the entertainment list is filled with well-known bands.
“The Community Celebration will be setup in the parking area of North Park with parking at Jackson High School and at the old library building,” said Dave Ruwadi, parks foreman. “The Community Celebration has become a great family tradition in the township. All of the proceeds after paying expenses always goes to help support the Jackson Rotary Club, the Jackson Kiwanis and the Jackson Lyons Club."

The Community Celebration is open from 6 to 11 p.m., June 28 and 29, 5 to 11:30 p.m., June 30 and 1 to 11:30 p.m. on July 1. Ruwadi said those who buy a ticket bracelet for the rides on July 1 in the afternoon can return throughout the day and evening and use the same bracelet for more rides.
“The Community Celebration is a great way for residents to enjoy one of our great parks and have time to eat some great food, meet up with old friends and spend time with the family,” Ruwadi said.
